Emmanuella Borukh

Emmanuella Borukh

Emmanuella Borukh, from Queens, NY, attended Townsend Harris High School (a magnet public school). As an oldest child, Emmanuella was born into a position of leadership. Within high school, she was the head of various clubs and responsible for organizing many events, including running a school-wide assembly for an audience of 300+ students with the American Heart Association. Outside of high school, Emmanuella initiated a drug prevention program for teens in her traditional immigrant community. During her first year at Stern, her natural leadership qualities continued to flourish as she kickstarted a new club that advocates for menstrual equality: PERIOD.

Pelah Cohen

Pelah Cohen

Pelah Cohen grew up in Skokie, Illinois, attended Arie Crown for elementary and middle school before graduating high school from Ida Crown, where she was awarded the Yehudi HaTov Award. Varsity Cross Country was one of the many activities Pelah participated in during her time high school, along with serving as a Senior Leader for the incoming freshman class. Throughout her years in the Chicago area, Pelah became increasingly more involved with Yachad, initially as a peer and then as a two-term president while also dedicating her summers to Yachad programming. During her free time, Pelah enjoys learning, running, babysitting, and is always open to watch a good movie. This year, Pelah has been learning at Michlelet Mevaseret Yerushalyim in Baka and continues to pursue her work with Yachad as an advisor and Yachad Summer Programs Recruiter. She hopes to work with Yachad this summer as a second-time counselor at Camp Lavi before starting Stern in the fall.

Bianca Curitz

Bianca Curitz

Bianca Curitz grew up in Cape Town, South Africa. She attended Herzlia High School where she headed the Zionism Committee and played an intrinsic role in the Jewish Life and Learning portfolio, as well as leading both the First Netball and Soccer sports teams to victory. During her time in high school, she was selected to participate in the Diller Teen Fellows year-long international leadership program. She was also the elected representative of her school on the Zionist Youth Council where she helped plan events to educate and engage the Cape Town Jewish community. She regularly tutored high school students at a nearby underprivileged school and, due to the connection she felt with the students there, during her final year of school (which was online due to COVID-19) she created and implemented an inter-school project in which she raised money to fund all 108 12th grade low-income students in that school with Wi-Fi modems along with 20 GB of data per month for the next three months leading up to the South African standardized final exams. For her achievement, she received a gold medal (first place) for the World ORT Gina and Joseph Award for social responsibility.

Bentzion Klarfeld

Bentzion Klarfeld

Bentzion Klarfeld grew up in Beachwood, Ohio, and attended the Hebrew Academy of Cleveland for elementary and middle school where he was student council Vice President. Bentzy then went to Yeshiva of Cleveland (Chofetz Chaim) for high school, during which he volunteered in the Bikur Cholim of Cleveland’s Zeh L’Zeh program for children with special needs, and ran youth groups at the Young Israel of Greater Cleveland. Currently, Bentzy is completing Shana Bet at Yeshivat Shaalvim. While a student at Shaalvim, he organizes programming that brings children of different religious backgrounds together. Bentzy spends his summers at Camp Kaylie, a camp that integrates children with special needs into an everyday environment. He started there as a camper eight summers ago, and now is a Division Head, working with the youngest groups of campers and overseeing their counselors. An avid runner, Bentzy competed in the Maccabi Games, where he won 9 medals in track and field; he recently finished his first marathon, in Jerusalem. Bentzy will be starting in Yeshiva College in the fall.

Rivka Krause

Rivka Krause

Rivka Krause grew up in Teaneck, New Jersey, and graduated from Ma’ayanot Yeshiva High School in 2021. While there, she was the captain of the Mock Trial, Moot Beit Din, and College Bowl teams. She also co-founded her school’s Environmental Committee. Outside of school, she was a member of Assemblywoman Vainieri Huttle’s Young Women’s Leadership Program and interned for New Jersey Representative Josh Gottheimer’s re-election campaign. As a senior, Rivka was awarded the Yeshivat Maharat Emerging Scholars Award and The Shaindy Rudoff Memorial Award for Excellence in English Literature. She hopes to blend her love of literature and Jewish thought by double majoring in English Literature and Jewish Philosophy. Rivka most recently spent a year studying at Midreshet Amudim in Jerusalem and interned for NGO Monitor.  

Zanvy Lesnoy

Zanvy Lesnoy

Zanvy Lesnoy grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland. He graduated from Berman Hebrew Academy in 2020 and spent two years learning in Yeshivat HaKotel in Jerusalem. While in high school, Zanvy participated in several leadership and chesed opportunities in his community and school, among them serving as Gabbai for four years in his shul’s thriving Youth Minyan, as well as on its youth board and volunteering with Chai Lifeline as a mentor for kids with illnesses. He has received several awards for his youth leadership roles and the Torah U’madda Award for commitment to his school, community, and ideals of Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­. Zanvy enjoys playing numerous sports including basketball and volleyball and ran in the Jerusalem Marathon to raise money for Shalva. During his summers, Zanvy has worked as a counselor at Camp Moshava Indian Orchard. 

 Josh Miller

Josh Miller

Josh Miller grew up in Teaneck, New Jersey and graduated from TABC in 2020. During high school, Josh took on many leadership roles including Student Council Treasurer, Pink Day coordinator, Model United Nations captain and was the sole student speaker at the 2019 Open house. After graduating, Josh learned in Yeshivat Hakotel for 2 years. While in Yeshiva, he joined the leadership program and organized the weekly Public Speaking Network helping others in Yeshiva work on their public speaking skills, while facilitating visitation days for perspective students.  

Yosef Morrison

Yosef Morrison

Yosef Morrison was born and raised in Bergenfield, NJ. Throughout his studies at Torah Academy of Bergen County, Yosef was involved in many leadership opportunities and worked as a manager in local restaurants. In addition to working, Yosef is very passionate about volunteering and served on the chapter board of Teaneck NCSY for three consecutive years and volunteered for his local ambulance squad.  

Yael Sabo

Yael Sabo

Yael Sabo is from Bergenfield, NJ. She went to Bruriah High School for Girls, in Elizabeth and has spent the last 2 years at MMY. Throughout high school and seminary, she was involved in various clubs, creating and running programming, including a JFS food drive, as well as a Chinese Auction for students to raise money for Gush Katif Kallot. She has spent time volunteering in Shaarei Tzedek Hospital and has been involved with Tomchei Shabbos for many years. Yael will be starting Stern in the fall and will be majoring in Biology.

Elijah B. Soclof

Elijah B. Soclof

Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Elijah graduated from Fuchs Mizrachi school in 2020, where he earned the Matmid Award and the Keter Shem Tov Award.  He was president of the Stark High School Student Council, captain of the basketball and soccer teams, and a student ambassador. He participated in Model UN at Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­, the Jewish Community Federation’s Saltzman Youth Panel, and was on the leadership boards of Bnei Akiva, Yachad and Friendship Circle. During the summers Elijah spent his time working at Camp Stone, Yachad Fellowship, and Camp HASC. He is completing his second year at Yeshivat Netiv Aryeh where he has served as gabbai and 1st Year Representative at the year-end Siyum. Most recently, he participated in the Yeshiva’s Ukraine relief efforts.

Rachel Amar

Rachel Amar

Rachel Amar, from Hollywood, Florida, is a graduate of Katz Yeshiva High School. Throughout her fulfilling years there, she was the Captain of the Varsity Soccer Team, Leader of her Robotics Team, and the Head of the Girls Who Code Club. She was awarded the Most Valuable Player in soccer and KYHS’s ‘Storm Award’ for her excellence in sportsmanship and leadership. She also contributed to her community, as she was the Rosh of Bnei Akiva in Hollywood. As an aspiring physician, Rachel shadowed various physicians in both Florida and Israel, at different teaching hospitals. Rachel has a love for nature, as she is passionate about hiking and camping. She enjoys reading and writing and is always open for a challenge. Rachel is currently learning at the SKA Beit Midrash for Women – Migdal Oz. 

Bat-Tzion Atik

Bat-Tzion Atik

Bat-Tzion Atik is from Queens, New York. Bat-Tzion attended Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ High School for Girls where she was captain of the Model UN team, NCSY JUMP, as well as ran the school Tehillim initiative. Outside of school, Bat-Tzion was involved in NCSY on both a local level and a national level, serving as Queens NCSY chapter president and New York NCSY National Board representative. She is currently studying at MMY Seminary. Bat-Tzion is passionate and excited about gaining as much as she can from the Leadership Scholars program and using it to better the Jewish world. She cannot wait to join the Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ Family this coming Fall.

Avi Dadon

Avi Dadon

Avi Dadon was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, and graduated as Salutatorian from Valley Torah High School. Throughout his impactful tenure at VTHS, Avi created the Study- Lecture program for students in need of academic help. Avi also initiated the Big Brother program, creating a warm environment for incoming freshman through Senior- Freshman activities and overnights. Not only did Avi play a fundamental role in the growth and support of others at school, but Avi was a vital component in the spread of chessed within his community. As Chabad of Tarzana’s Youth’s Leader recipient, Avi paved the path for the children of his community to grow spiritually by organizing activities and incentive programs every week.

Avi has also participated in a food packing service for four years. Every Erev Shabbos and throughout holidays, Avi would work with fellow volunteers gathering food packages for Jewish families in need. As a result of his commitment to the ones in need, Avi was awarded with the Sha-I-L-I President's Award. Inspired by his seven-year sneaker collecting and reselling hobbies, Avi decided to start his own nonprofit organization called SoleGivers. During his Junior and Senior years, Avi gathered hundreds of pairs of shoes to assist poor Jewish families and homeless individuals in the Valley and greater Los Angeles area, making a difference one sole at a time.

Rockie Frankenthal

Rockie Frankenthal

Rockie Frankenthal grew up in Chicago, Illinois. During the pandemic, Rockie realized that girls in her community lacked work opportunities, needed to get out of their homes, and also needed to grow their work experience. Seeing this need and the fact that mostly boys were employed by event planners and caterers, she embarked to create a business that provided female staff to help at events and smachot. There were many smaller events due to the pandemic that benefited from hands on assistance from her staff. After successfully establishing and growing this business, and prior to leaving Chicago for a year abroad, Rockie chose a successor to continue running the family operations of the business while continuing to serve and direct at an advisory level.

Rockie gained her leadership and people skills throughout her high school years. She held leadership positions at many organizations and led programs inside and outside of school. She was the lead of her high school student council, led a drama team, and in her senior year was the yearbook editor. From elementary school through high school she was involved with people and organizations that help individuals with special needs including the Lev Respite program, Chicagoland Yachad, and Camp Hasc. At Yachad she rose to be a board member for 3 years where she helped with programming, fundraising, and with growing the membership. Rockie looks forward to building and running businesses while continuing to contribute to her community.

Sierra Goodman

Sierra Goodman

Sierra Goodman is originally from Toronto, Canada, and graduated from Tanenbaum CHAT. She was chair of the Mental Health Awareness and Israeli engagement committees and was a Madricha on her school's Shabbatonim. Sierra was a peer tutor and played on the varsity ice hockey and softball teams. Sierra completed the Hasbara Israel fellowship program, where she developed a passion for Israel advocacy. Sierra then attended Midreshet Torah V'Avodah, where she further developed a love for in-depth Torah study, including Gemara and Jewish Philosophy. She volunteered at Shalva weekly and taught English to students in a developmental town in Israel. In her free time, Sierra enjoys playing sports, traveling, and learning Daf Yomi in her free time. Sierra is a biology major hoping to pursue a career in the medical field. 

Boaz Kahn

Boaz Kahn

Boaz Kahn grew up in Riverdale, New York, and graduated from SAR High School in 2021. While there, he was the leader of the Investment Club, captain of the Ultimate Frisbee team, and involved in the SAR Food Pantry. He also competed on the SAR Hockey and Softball teams.

Boaz is currently completing his Shanna Bet at Yeshivat Orayta in Jerusalem, where he manages the Orayta Food Bank and serves as an ambassador for the Bnei Akiva/Kedma Marathon team. During the summers, Boaz has worked as a counselor at Camp Moshava IO and interned at Parkview Animal Hospital. 

Dani Minkove

Dani Minkove

Dani Minkove grew up in New Rochelle, New York. A graduate of Yeshivat Frisch, Dani is currently spending his second year learning at Yeshivat Hakotel. 

While at Frisch, Dani played leadership roles in Kahal, Frisch’s student-led tzedakah organization, Cougars for Israel, Model Congress, and Shiriyah. Dani also founded the New Rochelle branch of Bnei Akiva. At Yeshivat Hakotel, Dani has been part of the Bergman Family Leadership Program and currently plays a leadership role in Students of Jerusalem.  

Dani spent his formative childhood summers at Camp Moshava IO and is now proud to serve as a madrich.

Eli Novick

Eli Novick

Eli Novick was born and raised in West Orange, New Jersey where he spent thirteen years learning at the Joseph Kushner Hebrew Academy/Rae Kushner Yeshiva High School. There, he was encouraged by friends, parents, and teachers to get involved in extracurricular activities (both in and out of school) and pursue leadership roles, such as becoming co-Editor-in-chief of the international “Kol HaNearim†newsletter, co-President of his school's Jewish Life Committee, Captain of the Mock Trial and Torah Bowl teams, board member for NJ NCSY, and more.

After graduating, Eli flew over to Eretz Yisrael, where he was blessed with the opportunity to study for two years at Yeshivat Har Etzion. His Rabbeim taught him that everything one gains in the realms of Talmud Torah and Avodas Hashem needs to be shared with the greater world, in addition to helping one’s personal growth. Eli has done his best to live this ideal in yeshiva by supplementing his learning with various odd jobs, such as helping run a weekly “Cholent & Chizzuk†program, which allows students to hear words of Torah from their peers while eating great food. He has also made an effort to balance his past couple of summers, spending some learning at Morasha Kollel and others working for Yachad at Camp Lavi.

But Eli makes sure to take time for himself as well. He enjoys learning and teaching Torah, running, reading, writing, singing, spending time with friends and family, and going for long walks. And thank God, Eli has had many struggles and challenges along the way, specifically during the coronavirus pandemic, that have helped shape him into the person he is today. But don’t worry, he still has plenty of room to grow :-)

Zehava Shatzkes

Zehava Shatzkes

Zehava Shatzkes lives in Teaneck, New Jersey and went to Yeshivat Frisch. Zehava is the oldest of five and loves spending time with her family. Zehava has held many leadership positions including, but not limited to, captain of the debate team, president of the Frisch Yachad and Friendship circle clubs, and yearbook photographer. While there are many leadership roles Zehava is proud of, her biggest joy comes from doing chesed. Zehava loves to lend a hand to those in need and loves to be the reason people smile. 

Ari Smith

Ari Smith

Ari Smith grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he attended Cincinnati Hebrew Day School. He then moved to Cleveland, Ohio, where he graduated from Fuchs Mizrachi School in 2021. He was awarded the Matmid Award and the Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ Torah U’Maada Award. He played for the baseball team, was a Bnei Akiva counselor, and was a student ambassador. He served as vice president on the NCSY Central East Regional Board and was the co-president of Junior NCSY in his hometown. He participated in the Jewish Community Federation Saltzman Youth Panel, Model UN, and Friendship Circle. During his Summers, Ari worked at Camp Stone, Camp Impact, Camp Aspire and is looking forward to spending this Summer on NCSY TJJ in Israel. He is completing his second year of Yeshivat Shaalvim, and is looking forward to continuing his studies at Yeshiva College this Fall.

Maya August

Maya August

Maya August was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. She graduated from Fuchs Mizrachi School in 2023. During her high school career, Maya was awarded both the Chein v’Chessed Award and the Nitzan Award in recognition of her leadership and commitment to her community. Over the course of high school, Maya served as a school ambassador, Jr. NCSY advisor, and a head of Bnei Akiva Cleveland’s leadership board. Additionally, during the summer she worked as a rosh at Moshava Bair Cleveland and has interned at the Jewish Education Center. Maya is currently in her shana aleph at Midreshet HaRova and is eager to embrace her new role as a leadership scholar.
 

Charli Ernstein

Charli Ernstein

Charli Ernstein was born in Overland Park, Kansas and attended school at Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy through 8th grade.  For high school she attended Ida Crown Jewish Academy in Chicago, and there, became increasingly active in NCSY. She sat on NCSY boards with various positions throughout high school, advancing to being the Midwest Regional President and a member of National Board. Charli had the opportunity to take on many roles in high school: a choir head for Ida Crown Takes the Stage, a Senior Leader, a member of the Student Activities Board and the National Honor Society, and a madricha at Moshava Wild Rose. With a passion for writing, Charli was a co-Editor-in-Chief of Ida Crown's Charlotte's Web Literary Magazine in her senior year. Lastly, her proudest writing achievement is having recently been named a Finalist in DePaul's BlueBook for a poem she wrote about her own Abuelita based on Sandra Cisneros's

Ayelet Friedman

Ayelet Friedman

Ayelet E. Friedman was raised in Baltimore, Maryland where she graduated from the Bais Yaakov of Baltimore, earning the Citizenship Award from faculty and peers. Throughout high school, she pursued her love for English and writing, serving as Editor-in-Chief of her high school newspaper and as captain of the English Literature team. She was awarded first place in The Associated: Young Writers category of the “My 2020 Journey†Writing Contest, and a bronze for the 9th and 10th grade division of Tikvah Online Academy Essay Contest. She acted as a youth group leader at her family synagogue, Shomrei Emunah of Baltimore, worked at the Mimi Boutique, and was a Big Sister for JEP of Maryland. Outside of school, she participated in numerous Tikvah Fund programs, including the Tikvah Online Academy for four years, the Tikvah Scholars Program for two summers, the Solomon Fellowship, the Tikvah Scholars Forum, and several other invitational programs. Ayelet paired with college students from the University of Maryland and The Image Center of Maryland to further develop her CJIE award-winning prototype, the Hug-a-Bear, designed to alleviate depression and anxiety among different age groups. In the summer following high school graduation, she interned in the office of Dutch (C.A.) Ruppersberger (D-MD). Ayelet then attended Michlelet Mevaseret Yerushalayim (MMY), where she was Editor-in-Chief of the school journal, Kol Mevaseret, continuing her learning in the Tikvah Overseas Program.

Yosef Kryzman

Yosef Kryzman

Yosef Kryzman is from Teaneck, New Jersey, and attended Torah Academy of Bergen County for high school.  During his time at TABC, Yosef served as the President of the Israel Advocacy Club, facilitating discussions and spearheading events to promote awareness and understanding of Israeli affairs. Furthermore, after completing an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course at the Bergen County EMS Training Center, Yosef volunteered as an EMT at the Teaneck Volunteer Ambulance Corps. Yosef's commitment to Israel advocacy extended to his participation in Write On For Israel, where he engaged with journalists and experts to address complex geopolitical issues. Furthermore, he participated in TABC's Distinguished Scholars Program, conducting research in behavioral economics. In addition to his academic and advocacy pursuits, Yosef also served as a Yachad Counselor, fostering meaningful connections with individuals and promoting inclusivity.

Ben Meisels

Ben Meisels

Ben Meisels hails from Los Angeles, California. He went to Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­LA Boys High School, and is currently learning at Yeshivat Torat Shraga. As an aspiring entrepreneur, Ben founded a company that buys, sells, and trades gold, silver, and other precious metals across America and Puerto Rico. Ben was the captain of his high school’s varsity golf team. Ben founded Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­LA’s Future Investors Club which assisted in educating the students on financial literacy. Ben has a passion for real estate and worked at a leading Los Angeles real estate firm this past summer.

Mark S. Mosseri

Mark S. Mosseri

Mark S. Mosseri grew up in Brooklyn, New York, and is a distinguished graduate of Yeshiva of Flatbush Joel Braverman High School. As the President & Founder of the Leaders In Business Club, he established a platform for hosting business leaders, fostering discussions on real-world business leadership. Mark's dedication extends to his role as President of Fundraising in the Tzedakah Committee, where he led impactful fundraising efforts supporting many charitable organizations. Additionally, he spearheaded the Little Red Box initiative, spreading positivity in school, raising awareness, and donating profits to the Ukraine Relief. Committed to mentorship, Mark served as a Senior Mentor for Freshman Students, providing guidance and support. As a committee member of Sephardic Bikur Holim Youth Division, he organized community service and charity events, showcasing his leadership in community engagement. He further demonstrates his dedication to community engagement as the Young Adult President of Mikdash Eliyahu Synagogue. Mark's exemplary contributions have been recognized with prestigious awards, including the Senator Simcha Feldman Youth Leadership Award and the Sephardic Bikur Holim Senior Award, highlighting his outstanding commitment to leadership and community service. His academic excellence has earned him admission to the National Honor Society and induction into the Archon Society, along with consistent recognition on the Principal's List for his excellence in scholarship and character. Mark spent summers in various leadership and learning experiences, including the Leadership in the Business World program at The Wharton School. Mark is currently studying at Yeshivat Moreshet Yerushalayim in Jerusalem, Israel. Mark's multifaceted leadership and dedication to service show his commitment to making a positive impact in his community and beyond.

Gideon Rone

Gideon Rone

Gideon grew up in Baltimore, Maryland where he attended Beth Tfiloh High School. During his years there, he was the Student Body President as well as captain of the Model UN team and Varsity  Basketball team. Raised by two parents who work as professionals in the Jewish nonprofit world, Gideon inherited a love for Judaism and a drive to do his part in strengthening the Jewish community and bettering our world.

Gideon loves people, Jewish practice, building community, reading, learning, and helping others. He puts his creativity, enthusiasm and passion to use often, whether coordinating volunteers in the Old City, overseeing special projects, or advocating for Israel. His most fulfilling work experience has been serving on the leadership team of imadi where he has helped to launch and facilitate imadi at Eagle Point, a sleepaway summer program for kids with cancer and special needs. He finds his truest inspiration in creating special moments.

Gideon is currently finishing his second full year in Yeshivat Orayta in Jerusalem, and upon his return will be studying Psychology at Yeshiva College.

Hannah Schachter

Hannah Schachter

Hannah Schachter is a rising sophomore at Stern College. She is currently studying abroad at Sha’alvim for Women. Prior to that, Hannah graduated from The Frisch School, where she was president of Student Council, captain of the Girls Varsity Basketball team, and Grade Representative for two years. Outside of her academics, Hannah was President of Yachad for Frisch and volunteered at I-Shine, the Jewish Youth Network Encounter Program, and Friendship Circle in New Jersey. Hannah is also currently volunteering at the Shalva National Center in Jerusalem, Israel. Hannah lives in Bergenfield, NJ with her parents and two brothers. 

Leah Soloman

Leah Soloman

Leah Solomon grew up in North Woodmere, New York, and attended Manhattan High School for Girls. There, she was an editor for the Literary and Arts Journal and served as class president in both her Sophomore and Senior years. In addition, Leah was a youth group leader at her shul and helped run a local Shabbos group for children with special needs.

To address a pressing need she saw in the larger Orthodox community, Leah founded After The School Bell, a nonprofit that connects high school volunteers with elementary school students for accessible tutoring. Today, she manages the US/Canada team on the ground from Israel, where she is studying at Michlalah Jerusalem College.

Since arriving in Israel, Leah has been regularly volunteering in the pediatric ward of Shaarei Tzedek Hospital. When the war broke out, Leah sprung into action, joining an operation to cook Shabbos food for 600+ chayalim and leveraging her reach in America to help fund this effort.

Leah is committed to bettering the Jewish community and is planning to study Strategy and Entrepreneurship at the Sy Syms School of Business this fall, a major she hopes will give her the skills she needs to effectively impact the Jewish world.

Benjamin Winters

Benjamin Winters

Benjamin Winters is an energetic leader from Silver Spring, Maryland. He went to Berman Hebrew Academy for 12 years, where he was the captain of the basketball, soccer, baseball, and Model UN teams. Outside of school, Ben regularly leyned and davened, and took over as gabbai in the Youth Minyan at Kemp Mill Synagogue, and also took a leadership position in communal organizations such as Imadi and Chai Lifeline. During the summer, Ben has been a bunk counselour in Moshava IO for the past three years, and this past summer in Machal, he was Rosh Beit Merdish and leading a daf yomi shiur. Ben has continued developing his leadership skills in his years learning in Israel, working at Shalva and starting a post-night seder learning program at Torat Shraga called Players Only Meeting. Ben looks forward to joining a team of motivated young adults, spearheading new projects and ideas both inside and outside the Jewish community and learning from some of the greatest leaders of our generation.

Elizabeth Chill

Elizabeth Chill

Elizabeth Chill lives in Teaneck, New Jersey and is studying in Israel at Michlelet Mevaseret Yerushalayim (MMY). Elizabeth graduated from SAR High School, where she was head of the Midnight Run Club, which packaged and served food to the underprivileged of NYC, head of the blood drive committee, and served on her school's Chesed Council, a division of the student council. Additionally, she served as captain of the Model UN team and as a Senior Leader for incoming freshmen. Most notably, Elizabeth was President of Yachad at SAR, where she initiated and ran programming that facilitated inclusion among Yachad participants and high school students. She was nominated and chosen as a member for the inaugural Yachad National Board for chapter presidents. Outside of school, Elizabeth spent time tutoring public school students, packed and made deliveries to the KCI food pantry, and volunteered at MCC, a school for children with autism. Elizabeth spent this past summer as a counselor for Yachad participants, and plans to return this upcoming summer. Elizabeth is currently volunteering at the Shalva National Center in Jerusalem and is looking forward to joining a cohort of similarly motivated Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ students in the fall!

Aharon Cohen

Aharon Cohen

Aharon Cohen grew up in North Woodmere, New York, and graduated from DRS Yeshiva High School for Boys, where he was a writer and the “Maggid†for Devorim Hayotzim Min HaLev, the school’s weekly parsha publication, as well as the captain of the football, baseball and softball teams. Pursuing his passion of helping children with special needs, Aharon volunteered for Friendship Circle and Yachad, and worked as a counselor in camps Kaylie and Hasc. Currently learning abroad at Yeshivat Sha’alvim, Aharon continues to be involved, teaching masechtot of mishnayot and the parsha of the week to those with special needs. Aharon looks forward to joining this group of determined leaders’ contribution towards the growth and betterment of the Jewish community.

Judah Frohlich

Judah Frohlich

Judah Frohlich, originally from Boca Raton, Florida, has a passion for medicine, community service, and education. He is a National Merit Scholar and received the Storm Award for leadership, sportsmanship, academic excellence, and the embodiment of Jewish values in and out of the classroom. In high school, Judah served as President of the Biomedical Club, launching initiatives including a student-led Biomedical Journal and CPR certification classes, captained his high school volleyball and basketball teams—earning the Coach’s Award for leadership—and tutored students in math and science. Judah serves as captain of the Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ National Model UN Team and gabbai at the Teen Minyan in his shul. Judah founded Shabbos Shoppers, a COVID-era initiative that delivered groceries to 200+ homebound seniors. He volunteers with Hatzalah in Israel, mentors Yachad members, and has participated in relief missions. Judah co-created the Acheinu Worldwide Achdut Initiative, which united thousands of Jews via Zoom to complete Shas Mishnayot. After spending two years learning at Yeshivat Hakotel, Judah will pursue pre-med studies at Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­, aiming to blend his passion for healthcare with community leadership to make a meaningful impact on the lives of others through compassionate care and service.

Yosef Grauer

Yosef Grauer

Yosef Grauer grew up in Toronto, Canada, and attended Netivot HaTorah Day School and Yeshivat Or Chaim, where he served as Student Council President, spearheading initiatives to boost student involvement, foster school spirit, and introduce new improvements. Throughout high school, Yosef was awarded a subject scholar designation in over ten classes and was a participant in the Tikvah Online Academy. At graduation, he was awarded the Student Activity Award for leadership and initiative throughout high school, as well as an award for Excellence in Judaic Studies. He was also actively involved in Bnei Akiva of Toronto, serving as Head of Programming for Grades 10-12 and Head of Torah Programming, organizing events that promoted leadership, learning, and community. Yosef has spent over a decade at Camp Kaylie, first as a camper and later taking on leadership roles as a counselor and now as a Division Head, mentoring campers and overseeing staff. He is completing his second year at Yeshivat Har Etzion and looks forward to continuing his academic and leadership journey at Yeshiva College while making a meaningful impact within the larger Jewish community.

Ari Kahn

Ari Kahn

Ari Kahn, graduated with high honors from DRS Yeshiva High School in Woodmere, New York, and was recognized as an AP Scholar with Distinction and inducted into both the Principal’s Honor Roll and National Honor Society. As Student President of Friendship Circle, he organized inclusive events for children with special needs, and co-developed "CalCoop," a wireless mouthguard measuring caloric burn during physical activity, which earned him finalist status in the CIJE Tank competition. Ari also served as a Madrich for NCSY Impact and will continue mentoring teens this summer on NCSY Kollel in Israel. Having explored business through his high school's Finance and Real Estate Clubs, following his studies at Yeshivat HaKotel, he will join the Sy Syms Honors Program this fall.

Lizzie Kohl

Lizzie Kohl

Elizabeth (Lizzie) Kohl from Englewood, New Jersey, went to the Frisch School, where she graduated as salutatorian. She served as president of the Art Club and the Model Beit Din Club, and was captain of both the undefeated swim team and the fencing team. Lizzie was also Editor-in-Chief of the yearbook, leading a staff of 40+ students. She peer-tutored in math, physics, and chemistry and competed on the school’s math team. Outside of school, she was involved in Jewish education and community service, tutoring unaffiliated Jewish children through the Jewish Youth Encounter Program and teaching art classes at the Ilan Home for Disabled Adults in Israel. She also earned second place in the Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ Bekiut competition. Lizzie is studying at Midreshet Lindenbaum and participating in the Tikvah Israel Fellowship’s course on cultural Zionism and looks forward to joining the Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ community.

Ilana Loskove

Ilana Loskove

Ilana Loskove grew up in Teaneck, New Jersey, and attended Ma’ayanot Yeshiva High School for Girls, where she served as a member of Student Council and as president of the Chesed Committee, which culminated in her receiving the Arthur and Joyce Fein Chesed Award at graduation. Outside of school, Ilana served on the board of NCSY’s 4G branch, founded and served as president of Congregation Rinat Yisrael’s Teen Council, and volunteered with Rinat’s Bat Mitzvah program. Ilana continued her leadership activities in Midreshet Lindenbaum, where she currently heads the Bikur Cholim Committee and serves as an Israel Gap Year ambassador, guiding high school seniors in their process of choosing a seminary. Ilana is excited to study biology at Stern College.

Eitan Milstein

Eitan Milstein

Eitan Milstein was born and raised in Manhattan and graduated from SAR High School in 2023, where he was captain of the volleyball team, played varsity basketball, was president of the Yachad club which raised a school fundraising record for Yachad Giving Day, served as a student ambassador, and founder of the Veterans Club to raise awareness of the needs of American veterans. He also participated in several after school learning opportunities, finishing Masechet Makot and Taanit. Eitan spent several summers as a counselor at Camp Moshava and Camp Morasha Yachad and gave weekly chaburas to campers. Eitan is now in his second year learning in Yeshivat Shaalvim where he is regularly a baal tefillah, babysits for families around the kibbutz, and has a weekly chavrusa with an elderly member of the Nof Ayalon community. During his time in yeshiva, Eitan taught himself to play piano and loves a good kumzitz. He looks forward to being part of a group of growth-oriented cohort and the opportunity to learn from communal leaders.

Mia Polonetsky

Mia Polonetsky

Mia Polonetsky is from Teaneck, New Jersey, and attended Ma’ayanot Yeshiva High School for Girls where she was awarded the School Service and Leadership Award at graduation. Mia served as captain of the Varsity Soccer team, head of the STEAM Student Leadership Committee, and a grade representative on G.O. She was also editor-in-chief of the school publication Ma’ayanei Torah, head of the PR Committee, head of the Senior Experience Committee, a member of the Ma’ayanot Israel Political Action Committee (MIPAC), and a student ambassador. In her community, Mia volunteered with single-parent and milium families. As a youth leader at her shul for six years, Mia worked to foster an inclusive environment. In 2023, Mia participated in the Yad Leah Leadership Program. Additionally, she spent her summers as a counselor at Camp Kaylie. Mia is currently learning at Michlelet Mevaseret Yerushalayim (MMY) and looks forward to studying at Stern College in the fall.

Eliana Waghalter

Eliana Waghalter

Eliana Waghalter was raised in Los Angeles, California, and attended Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­LA Girls High School where she was Captain of the Model UN team, Executive Editor of the newspaper, had a weekly column in the school newsletter, and was involved in Student Council, among other activities. Eliana also is passionate about raising awareness of the agunah crisis, and on account of her leadership and contributions, she received the Lantern Student Leadership Award from the Organization for the Resolution of Agunot (ORA). She also was involved in Torah focused initiatives at Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­LA, and was recognized for her commitment and leadership with Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­LA's inaugural Yagdil Torah VaYadir award. Outside of school, Eliana was a volunteer in Chai Lifeline’s Big Sister program and coached middle schoolers in Chidon HaTanach. Currently learning at Midreshet Lindenbaum, Eliana is excited to attend Stern College this fall.
