With $19K STEM Master's for U.S. Students, Katz School Matches Public Tuition

The Katz School is offering a new graduate STEM scholarship for U.S. students who enroll in master's programs for Applied and Financial Statistics; Artificial Intelligence; Biotech; Computer Science; Cybersecurity; Data Analytics; and Digital Marketing and Media. Applications for an August 2026 start are now being accepted.

The Katz School of Science and Health at Â鶹´«Ă˝Ół» is offering a new graduate STEM scholarship for U.S. students. For $19,000 total tuition—less than $10,000 per year for a two-year program—students can earn a master’s degree in Applied and Financial Statistics; Artificial Intelligence; Biotech; Computer Science; Cybersecurity; Data Analytics; and Digital Marketing and Media.

Applications for an August 2026 start are now being accepted.

At a time when unprecedented technology advances are disrupting the ways people work and live, the rising cost of graduate education often keeps some of the most capable students on the sidelines.

“This scholarship changes the conversation entirely,” said Provost Selma Botman. “It makes the Katz School one of the most affordable private schools in the country, matching many public institutions. Â鶹´«Ă˝Ół»â€”a U.S. News Top 100 University in the middle of New York City—wants to do its part to ensure a bright future for individuals, for our city and for our country.”

Dean Paul Russo said New York City isn’t just a backdrop; it's central to the educational experience. "Students are immersed in one of the world's largest technology and business ecosystems, surrounded by global tech, edgy startups, big finance, biotech, healthcare and more,” he said. “We see them day after day attending professional conferences, meetups, hackathons and more. This is how they build a lasting professional network. Many students are currently working in the city, and many others want to be here.”

Dean Russo added that he sees the scholarship as part of a broader economic strategy for New York City itself. “When we build a talented workforce, it fuels innovation and entrepreneurship in companies,” he said, “and it also attracts more businesses and further investment in New York City.”

The Katz School also has a longstanding commitment to supporting international students, offering a highly competitive $35,000 flat rate tuition for science and tech master’s programs as part of the STEM Fellows, which includes research and publishing opportunities.
