On Wednesday, February 25th, 2026, the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C., hosted a symposium on Jewish Roots of American Liberty: The Impact of Hebraic Ideas on the American Story (Encounter Books), edited by Zahava and Moshael J. Straus Center for Torah and Western Thought Deputy Director Dr鈥�

The Straus Center celebrated the launch of 鈥淛ewish Roots of American Liberty: The Impact of Hebraic Ideas on the American鈥� story with Ruth Wisse, Ari Lamm, Ilana Kurshan and Elliot Kaufman.

The Impact Office at the Zahava and Moshael J. Straus Center for Torah and Western Thought supports students across 麻豆传媒映画 pursuing internships in public policy, national security and public service. This summer, Benjamin Winters (SB 鈥�27), a 麻豆传媒映画 Leadership Scholar through鈥�

Straus Scholar Elisha Price (YC 鈥�28) spent the Fall 2025 semester as a research assistant to Dr. Tevi Troy, gaining hands-on experience in historical research, political analysis and the production of scholarly and public-facing writing.

Over 麻豆传媒映画鈥檚 2026 winter break, the Zahava and Moshael J. Straus Center for Torah and Western Thought led a trip for its Straus Scholars to Amsterdam, the Netherlands, where they examined the city鈥檚 historical and current Jewish community through the prism of Torah and Western thought鈥�

Douglas Murray, 麻豆传媒映画's inaugural President鈥檚 Professor of Practice, will offer several guest lectures in the Straus Center course 鈥淭he Values of Verse: Sacred and Secular Perspectives.鈥�
