Spring 2026 Orientation will take place on Sunday, January 18 and Monday, January 19.

New Student Orientation

New Student Orientation at Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ prepares students for years of growth at Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­. It is an interactive experience with essential information sessions, introductions to college culture, and presentations on Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­'s unique mission and values. New students also begin creating their community of meaning with friends and classmates.

Tuesday: Move in, settle into your new home, meet your resident advisors and connect with your peers and future classmates.  

Wednesday through Friday: Learn how to navigate everything from connecting to the Wi-Fi to choosing and registering for classes. Enjoy Torah opportunities, nights out in New York City, making new friends, and learning about the many resources available for your success.

Shabbat: Enjoy a Shabbat like no other on campus at Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­

Sunday: Make your final preparations for the first week of classes, have some fun with your new friends, and hang out at our traditional Welcome Back BBQ for all students, new and returning.

Important Information for All Incoming Students

Health and Insurance

NYS law requires all students submit an immunization form to the Office of Student Health. The immunization form can be found here and upon completion should be uploaded within your admissions application in the Supplemental Items section at . Please be sure to submit the form before your first day of classes, as the law allows only a short grace period before students who are not compliant can no longer be on campus.

All Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ students taking 6 or more credits are required to have health insurance. As such, you can either waive the Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ medical insurance by submitting a waiver demonstrating comparable insurance coverage in NY or purchase the Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ insurance plan. The form to waive out or enroll immediately can be found at . Please complete this process as soon as possible. Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ ID Card

Your Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­Card is used to gain access to all Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ buildings and Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ shuttles, serves as your cafeteria card for on and off campus purchases, and serves as your library card. Please upload a photo of yourself to be used to prepare your ID in advance of your arrival using the following guidelines:

  • Picture should be a front facing picture of you alone and should be taken from the chest up.  
  • No hats, bandanas or dark sunglasses.
  • The picture should be taken in front of a solid color background.
  • Smiling is encouraged.

Upload your ID card photo using either the (for women) or the (for men).

You'll be asked for your legal name, your Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ ID number (800XXXXXX), and the school you are enrolled in (Stern College for Women, Sy Syms School of Business, Yeshiva College, or Katz School). When you arrive to campus, you will need to present a driver’s license or other photo identification to retrieve your Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ ID card.
