2026 Beren Community and Service Awards

2026 Beren Community and Service Award honorees with members of Beren Campus Student Government

On May 13, Stern College launched its new Beren Community and Service Awards, honoring 13 students whose leadership, generosity and commitment have made a meaningful impact on campus life. Created by the Beren Campus Student Government, the awards recognized the many ways students strengthen their community across distinct categories.

The response from the student body reflected just how deeply those contributions are felt. Stern students submitted 385 nominations for peers whose efforts — often quiet and behind the scenes — have helped foster a more supportive and connected campus community. After reviewing the nominations, the Office of Student Life, together with Dean Schechter, Dean Asher, Dean Cypess and Rabbi Fine, selected 13 honorees, representing different dimensions of leadership, character and service.

The awards were presented during a campus luncheon that brought students, faculty and administrators together to celebrate the individuals who help make Beren stronger each day.
