Wurzweiler Partners with Peace Corps to Offer Scholarships to Returning Volunteers

Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­â€™s is teaming up with the Peace Corps to help returning volunteers do even more good back home. Wurzweiler was recently approved to join the Corps’s Paul D. Coverdell Fellows Program. Through the program, participating graduate schools across the country can offer financial assistance to returned Peace Corps volunteers completing substantive internships in underserved American communities as they pursue advanced degrees. According to Dr. Catherine Pearlman, director of admissions at Wurzweiler, the school’s decision to become part of the Coverdell program reflects its desire to make careers in social work more available to Corps volunteers and to increase the depth of its student experience.
