Dr. Skolnik's clinical experience extends more than thirty years with a focus on interpersonal trauma, domestic violence, and group work. Additionally, she is a certified psychodramatist and facilitates psychodrama groups for victims of domestic violence. Dr. Skolnik has presented both nationally and internationally on topics related to group work, psychodrama, and teaching social work practice with diverse populations in various settings

Dr. Skolnik's interests are focused around trauma, group work, psychodrama, sociometry, and group psychotherapy, and social work education. Her scholarly research encompasses promoting group work practice into social work education, interventions focused on enhancing the lives of victims of Interpersonal Trauma (IPV) and integration psychodrama into social work education and clinical practice with individuals and groups.
